How to consult a web site - Printing a web page

Web pages are developed, or should be, in a way to facilitate reading from the screen. Sometimes printing a paper version of a page seems easier and quicker than taking notes, keeping the document or consulting it offline.

To print a web page, you have to click on the  "Print" button or "printable version" you find on the same page. If page doesn’t have these buttons, you can use "print" from your menu browser. These commands are linked to your printer.

Check your printer is connected to your computer and it’s switched on before you start printing. Follow the instructions below.

For example, click on  this link

It will open a new window: Let’s try to print it.

After clicking on "printable version", indicated by the arrow, a new web page will open. This only has the printable version and removes the elements that are important for viewing on the screen but not for the paper version.

In the browser menu, you can use the printer icon or you can select the "print" option from the file menu.

In both cases, a box pops up which allows you to select the format and the number of copies you need.
