ŠIOV has been taking active role in Leonardo, various bilateral projects, including dissemination of best practices. Research and development work is currently done in the area of multimedia, internet, web design, and advanced internet solutions (web sites, e-learning, e-business, e-commerce).
The most, as for the intended new project activities, relevant project is “Informatics”. This is the result of bilateral cooperation with Italy based on the Law No. 212/92. Its results were specified as follows:

to establish a Reference Telematic Centre (RTC)

to develop a network of ODL services (Regional Telematic Centre and 10 pilot schools Centres)

to train Centre employees and teachers of pilot schools

to test the network and ODL – newly developed courses at pilot schools
The teachers, responsible for the development of training units, are Upper secondary school senior teachers of Informatics, fully competent to meet satisfactory standards of their work, in both methodology and Internet on line service usage. |
